Ugly Ducklings and Silver Linings

It has been several months since I last updated this post. Many of you know that I was involved in a serious road accident on 3rd January – which impacted significantly on my health and plans. I am however on the mend, though it will be another 6 to 9 months before I can walk properly again. But as they say: Every cloud… and I was privileged to experience first hand how incredibly selfless people can be in helping those in adversity. Over the last few months friends, neighbours and even strangers that I had not met before, rallied round to provide support to Mark and I as we dealt with the aftermath of the accident. It was and remains very humbling and renewed my passion for also going the extra mile to help those in need.

The other “benefit” of the accident is that whilst I was “couch ridden” unable to walk or travel I was able to spend a lot of time doing research for the project and over the next few posts I will provide updates on what I have discovered.

However today I am inspired to share with you the images of the house that belongs to Debbie and Tony who are the fantastic couple who are leading us through the whole building process. This gives a real sense of what this inspiring couple achieve in transforming places, this being the third house they have turned into a Swan in Moonhills Lane.

Meanwhile here is a “before” picture of their home. I will be back soon.
